What is it?
Flight Executive tracks flight status for airlines the world over and integrates automatically with your itineraries. With its attractive, original design and highly accurate flight statistics, Flight Executive makes it a cinch to find flights, start tracking them, and get minute by minute status updates for them. A few days after a flight lands, the phone automatically forgets the old flight so that it will never clutter your experience.
If you choose to send your itinerary to Flight Executive via email, the Flight Executive engine will interpret your itinerary and start tracking the flight for you. Your phone will automatically begin tracking the flight a few days ahead of its departure.
More features are in development; as they are finished, they will be made available in free updates.
Map Your Flights
Ever wondered exactly where a plane is right now?
Find a flight that's in the air right now and at the bottom of the details screen touch the "Map This Flight" button. You will see, in Google Maps, the actual location of the plane. Note that this feature only works for flights inside of, into, or out of the USA.
...It will read my itinerary?
Yes.
On your iPhone, open Flight Executive and press the 'Settings' button. Enter your email address, turn email updates on, and save the settings. The email address will be registered with our server (and we won't share the email address with anyone).
Then, forward your itinerary from your email account to ours at phone@trackmyflights.com. The Flight Executive engine will try to interpret your flight plans and prepare to start tracking them. When you refresh your flight details on your iPhone, you will get a notification that the engine has your flights.
This is a brand new feature. We really like it and wanted to share it as soon as we could, but that means it is still developing and learning to live in the world. We've tested it well but there are a lot of different kinds of itineraries, providers, airlines, etc. The more feedback we get, the better the service will be.
